Amid the hustle of shopping, gossipping, partying and eating, I managed to find time to relax by the pool beside a breathtaking view of Bangkok to ponder about life and choices.
I’m glad I traveled with friends who spoke their opinions freely. We had moments of revelation and sharing, much laughter and the occasional argument. Through this time, I got to know a new friend better, discovered I could count on another friend in a moment of crisis, and unwittingly experienced a new level of friendship with an old friend. I thought the days would pass by slowly — 7 days in Bangkok seemed like a long time. But the days whooshed by us so quickly, before I knew it was already the penultimate day.
Christmas in Bangkok was quite an experience. We had drinks at the rooftop bar of the hotel. I experienced my very first foam party — which was exhilirating good fun. And we all went dancing at a super-packed club till the wee hours of the morning. Despite an initial froufrou that threatened to derail our Christmas itinerary, we still managed to have a great night out and a great Christmas celebration.

Relaxing by the pool.

1/5th of our shopping.
